NANCY: SESSION 5 This is the 5th of 22 EFT Tapping video sessions I had with Nancy on her heavy grief and many related issues. Much to learn here. Very high-end. Here are my notes from this session. Highlights of this session (Gary's notes) In the 4 days since the last session she hasn’t noticed any material change in her specific symptoms. They seemed to have remained about the same with the exception of her handwriting which is now 60% improved instead of 35%. Overall, she feels 50% improved from where we started. We started with revisiting “the last hug” looking for negative intruders upon the loving experience. She couldn’t find any so that suggests we did a good job with that Specific Event. We then went to the “Momma get a hold on me” that she repeats around 10 times per day. It was a dream where she was circulating in her car in a shopping mall and hearing her daughter repeat this phrase but, yet, she couldn’t get to her. We discussed the parallel between this and her not being able to help Rachel with the drug addiction. A few EFT Tapping rounds on this dream (treated as a Specific Event) brought it down somewhat and slowly. I then did internal work on it and it came down well enough so that she could no longer access it. Success on this dream. I then expected to get into Specific Events surrounding Rachel’s death such as the funeral, when she first heard about it, etc. But this discussion led into anger issues at her husband and the subsequent blaming of him for Rachel’s death. She pulled up a Specific Event called “shopping with dad” wherein Nancy was dismissed by her husband and bought some dolls for Rachel. The movie was called “In your Face” and a few rounds of EFT Tapping brought it down from a “guessed” 7 to a 5. I then did some internal work (2 rounds) wherein I reduced the impact of his “authority to dismiss” by making him naked, superman, a clown and a mouse that went squeak. This brought it down so that she could only access the memory by dressing him in a bozo the clown suit. |
