A big walk in Battersea Park to help fight homelessness

Looking for a charity fundraiser that doesn't require a huge amount of training? How about one that takes place in one of London's loveliest parks? The Passage's inaugural Walk to End Homelessness takes place on Sunday 12 May and ticks both of those boxes. More importantly, though, with every step, you'll be helping Londoners experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

With a choice of 2.5km, 5km, and 10km routes available, this plod around Battersea Park is super inclusive. Each one is wheelchair accessible, and buggies are welcome too. You can even bring a dog, as long as you keep your four-legged friend on lead. Each adult participant is simply asked to raise £50 — enough to fund a night of emergency accommodation for someone at risk of street homelessness.

On the day, there'll be live entertainment, food and refreshments at the Battersea Park bandstand. Why not get the whole family together — little ones included — and help raise funds for an utterly brilliant cause.
