Summerville’s Metalworx has been acquired by a Jrlon Inc., a custom manufacturer in New York. Metalworx brings key assets, certifications, an established customer base and more. Employees will continue working out of Summerville.

Business owners encouraged to take DHEC survey

To better assess the state’s rollout plan for the COVID-19 vaccine, the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control is asking business owners to fill out this survey and share how many employees meet the vaccine definition of frontline workers and are planning to take the vaccine.

Charleston Southern among universities receiving scholarship funding

Schools throughout the state including Columbia College, Benedict College and Allen University received a share of $60,000 through a grant from the Council of Independent Colleges’ scholarship program, endowed by UPS.
