Author, instructor and kit-maker extraordinaire Diane Miller says her love of artisan jewelry started in 1999 when a friend “dragged” her to a Chicago bead show where she admired the beautiful work of another talented jewelry artist. She had been searching for an avenue to express her own creativity and jewelry seemed the perfect fit. She took some simple beading classes and was hooked immediately. Since that time Diane has expanded her knowledge of jewelry making techniques and now focuses mainly on the intricate work of handcrafting different sized jump rings and designing unique hand-woven chain maille jewelry. Flash forward a few years and her company Midwest Maille has become a fixture at the Bead&Button Show’s Bead&Jewelry Expo. We are so happy she will be joining us again for the new show dates in August. If you’re into chain maille or looking for a new hobby to pick up while spending time at home, Midwest maille can ship a wide range of wonderful kits, argentium silver rings and other supplies right to your door. Be sure to check out her Facebook page for specials and promo codes! Please consider supporting the exhibitors in our Bead&Button Show community by ordering your project materials from them online during this strange and difficult time. |

|
Did you know we’ve been releasing FREE projects every Friday to provide you with some additional creative and inspirational outlets to fill those long hours at home? We’re doing our best to find things you can do with materials you might already have on hand. Make sure you like our Facebook page or follow @BeadAndButtonShow on Instagram to see this week’s free projects, and to find out when new free projects are released. We’d love to see photos of your work in process (especially if you get extra “assistance” from some furry friends at home) and the variety of finished products we’ll all have. Make sure to tag @Bead&ButtonShow so the whole community can share in the experience. These free projects are courtesy of Facet Jewelry.
