Last night, Merri Ann and I hiked up Bear Creek near the Wyoming border. The country is gorgeous, still dressed in crimson and gold.
We found a father and his sons fishing the crystal waters of the creek. They hadn't caught much but it didn't seem to matter.
I spent countless days on similar creeks with my dad. When we didn't catch much, it didn't matter. After Merri Ann and I married, he taught her how to fish. He taught me how to live.
