I love Sally Lunn bread. It's an old English bread that is soft and white. It's perfect as a loaf and makes great dinner and sweet rolls. Some of the time, I use my bread machine and some of the time, I use my stand-type mixer. Some of the time I make loaves and some of the time I make something else like sandwich rolls.
Bread mixes are quick and easy and take the guesswork out of bread and rolls. To make loaves in your bread machine, follow the directions and push a button. To make rolls in your bread machine, set the machine to "dough" and push a button. Then form a oaf, make rolls, or more and bake them in the oven. To use your stand-type mixer, follow the directions but use the dough hook and mix for five to ten minutes. Then make what you want. Life at your house will never be the same.
Here's more you can make!
Let your dough rise, cut it into wedges, and fry it. Serve it hot with syrup like french toast.
| Kaiser rolls are made by tying a rope of dough into a knot. (Don't worry; it's easy.) Just bake them if you want soft rolls instead of crusty. | |
Cut your dough into strips and wrap it around hot dogs, brats, or sausages.
