Charlie Weimers, a Swedish politician, since 2019 represents the Sweden Democrats party, a civilizationist organization, as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP). He previously served on the Hammarö Municipal Council and as chief of staff to MEP Lars Adaktusson. He specializes in problems associated with religious persecution. In 2022, Tehran thanked him for his efforts by personally sanctioning him. He holds a BA in political Science from Karlstad University.
