Shaping a Sustainable Digital World
L'Office fédéral de l'environnement (OFEV), la Fondation Mercator et la Haute école spécialisée de Berne souhaitent connaître tes idées sur le thème suivant : « Comment est-ce que la numérisation peut mener à bien les objectifs environnementaux ». Dans cette optique, le foraus organise un « Policy Kitchen Challenge » et un atelier virtuel le 8 mai. Malheureusement, il n'y a déjà plus de place pour l'atelier virtuel, mais tu peux toujours soumettre tes propositions de politiques pour l'OFEV et/ou tes idées de projets pour Mercator directement ici.

Think Tank Talks
Our next Think Tank Talk will reflect on the Covid-19 crisis by discussing the topic of Health Data Exchange and digital epidemiology with world-renowned experts such as Isabelle Hilali, Founder & CEO of the Healthcare Data Institute & Datacraft Collaborative Initiative, or Akarsh Venkatasubramanian, Project Manager Digital Health & Artificial Intelligence Research Collaborative (I-DAIR). The event will take place virtually via zoom on the 18th of May 2020, between 12pm and 2pm. This is a great opportunity to learn more about this exciting topic and have a memorable lunch! Was können wir von unseren Nachbarn im Bereich politische Bildung lernen? Wie können wir grenzüberschreitende politische Fragen erfolgreich thematisieren und so im Dialog bleiben? Diese Fragen versucht Campus für Demokratie im Rahmen eines virtuellen Workshops zu beantworten. foraus ist mit dabei, indem wir unsere Erfahrung zur grenzüberschreitenden Kooperation anhand des Open Think Tank Networks teilen. In the cooperation with the OpenTTN, Polis180 hosted its first digital Policy Kitchen event on feminist foreign policy on April 20. Ines Kappert Head of the Gunda-Werner Institute provided the Keynote focusing on the renewal of Germany’s national action plan 1325 as well as remaining challenges of implementation. In the smaller groups the discussion centered on how to implement a feminist trade and climate policy as well as how to engage male allies. Group discussions via the breakout rooms facilitated participation from a variety of attendees underlining the participatory format of Policy Kitchen.

As Europe struggles with an existential crisis brought on by Covid-19, the complexities of its relations with China are on full display. It is the first time that China has figured so prominently on an issue of such immediately critical importance to Europe. This reportseeks to identify the key developments in bilateral relations between China and a wide range of European countries. It is a collection of independent analyses from 19 countries (incl. Switzerland) meant to compare notes on country-level experiences and build on the annual reports of the European Think-tank Network on China (ETNC).
