It's hunting season soon and I have visions of delicious home canned venison stew going through my head. If you plan on learning to can meat, pressure canning wild game is pretty much the same as domestic beef. There isn't much difference between canning meats and canning vegetables, it just takes longer to process!

There is the typical raw pack method for canning venison but you can get imaginative with it, too! By adding some onions or garlic to a jar here and there, you can change up the spices or leave them all plain and spice them when using it.

Another option is to can up some ground venison! Talk about the perfect way to make a fast soup! Just pop open a jar of meat, some veggies, add broth, spices and heat it up. Viola! Soup!
