There's been a lot of executive movement in the past week with Carson Group snagging former Envestnet executive Dani Fava as their new chief strategy officer, as well as LPL Financial veteran Heather Randolph Carter as chief marketing officer. A few days later, Citizens Financial Group plucked Paul Casey, who spent 22 years at Morgan Stanley, to lead its wealth management and new private banking unit in July. The changing leadership also comes at a time when more than 100,000 advisors plan to retire in the next decade. So, who will fill these roles? A new MIT study proposes that AI has the potential to take on the predictive and emotional behaviors of a human advisor. But that does not mean it will take their jobs.
