A bloomin' brilliant spring festival is coming to Camden Market

Well here's a lovely way to celebrate the arrival of longer, brighter days. Later this month, one of London's most iconic markets presents a seasonally-themed array of activities and installations for visitors of all ages, spread across two terrific weekends.

This is Hawley Wharf Spring Festival at Camden Market. It all begins on Saturday 22 April in an especially picturesque part of the neighbourhood, right on the edge of Regent's Canal. The fun spills over onto Sunday 23 April, and the festival returns the following weekend (29-30 April) for more springtime frolics.

We've set out some of the highlights below — from incredible floral art, to a mini Bavarian-inspired bash, to a cruise along the canal. Some events are drop-in but others must be booked in advance, so get your tickets via the button below to avoid missing out.

Flower Power

The festival's theme is Power to the Flower, and Hawley Wharf is getting all dressed up for the occasion. From 22 to 23 April, you'll find a stunning meadow of blooms by florist My Lady Garden inside the quay. Then, 29-30 April, there are Elle Shoel FlwrGrl's Camden-inspired floral hanging gardens. You can even take home a piece of the market, with dried and fresh flowers available to buy on both weekends.

Fruhlingsfest At 3 Locks Brewery

Ever heard of Fruhlingsfest? It's basically Oktoberfest's lesser-known sibling, which takes place in the spring in Munich. 3 Locks Brewery will be channeling its spirit 22-23 April and 29-30 April, with a pint-sized version of the spring festival featuring plenty of beer and a roaming brass band. Tickets must be booked in advance.

Family Fun

Got little ones? Take them to children's clothing shop Josiah Amari on either weekend and they can get their faces painted. If you like, you can pick them out a totally adorable handmade outfit while you're there! Elsewhere, you can treat them to a ride on the Babylon carousel.

Themed Food And Drink

In need of refreshments after all that fun? Try Soho Creamery's special orchid ice cream, washed down with juice (or perhaps a cheeky cocktail) by Juice Junkiez. On the festival's first weekend, there's even a fruit punch cruise, created by Trap Fruits and featuring a live DJ for proper boat party vibes (tickets for that one must be booked in advance).
