We are a hybrid company, with some coming into our office in San Francisco, and others working from afar, from Montana to Japan to Washington, D.C. From the early years…  Posit Science–the makers of BrainHQ–was founded by Dr. Michael Merzenich and Jeff Zimman in San Francisco in 2003. Mike came to the University of California San Francisco as a young research scientist in the 1970s, and raised his family in the city. Jeff—a recovering lawyer, banker, and venture guy—had lived in the city for decades as well. The two founded Posit Science with the goal of bringing breakthroughs in neuroscience out of the lab and into the hands of people, where it could do real good. |

…to today Since our founding, a lot has changed in the world of brain training. We’ve seen companies with a lot of money and not much science come (and go). But we pioneered this field, and we're here to stay. We believe in our science, and think people should have access to it—so they can work toward a happier, healthier brain. |
