| SAY "HELLO" TO OUR NEW EXHIBITION DIRECTOR | Deborah Rothe, who has been with Messe Berlin since 2011, follows in the footsteps of David Ruetz as Exhibition Director of ITB Berlin. Being with ITB Berlin since 2014 her focus was on developing ITB Berlin and marketing exhibitor and visitor business in the previous years as Head of Business Development & Sales.

In December 2022, David Ruetz became Senior Vice President of Travel + Logistics at Messe Berlin, in which role he oversees the ILA Berlin Airshow as well as the global ITB brand family, along with its strategic development. Read the full press release here.

| ITB BERLIN CONVENTION | MARKETING, SALES, SUSTAINABILITY: THREE TRACKS WITH TOP SPEAKERS | | New strategies and business models in the context of current economic, technological and ecological challenges are the focus of three thematic tracks at the ITB Convention from 7 to 9 March, featuring high-ranking speakers, international expertise and illustrative examples of best practice.
| RESPONSIBLE TOURISM TRACK | How tourism can meet sustainability and justice will be discussed during the Responsible Tourism Track. Prof. Dr. Dr. Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, Director Emeritus of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, will explain interactions between climate change and tourism. The relevance of new sustainability standards is the topic of a panel with Glenn Mandziuk, (CEO, Sustainable Hospitality) and others. Panel discussions of the track partner BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) will address politics, e.g. the consequences of the new supply chain law.

MARKETING & DISTRIBUTION TRACK | The marketing and distribution track will offer exciting insights into consumer trends and digital transformation processes as well as the future of tour operator and distribution management. Speakers include Garry Wiseman (CIO, Sabre) on the future of travel distribution, Kathrin Anselm (General Manager Airbnb DACH, CEE & Russia) gives insights into the travel world of tomorrow in a Fireside Chat and Charles Ehredt (CEO, Currency Alliance) speaks about customer retention and loyalty programmes. Google is a sponsor of the marketing and distribution track.

| | TOUR OPERATOR & TRAVEL SALES TRACK | The Tour Operator & Travel Sales Track will discuss strategies for tour operators and distributors who are looking for new concepts in the wake of the recent crises. Speakers include Dirk GlaeÃer (Director Sustainable Development of Tourism, UNWTO) and Sabine Rogg (Director Trends & Strategy, Trendbüro). Ralph Schiller (CEO, FTI Group), Ãmer Karaca, (Managing Director, Schmetterling International) and Stefan Baumert (CEO Germany, TUI Group) will provide the tour operator perspective.

| HALL PLAN | NOVELTIES ON THE EXHIBITION GROUND | | The site plan for ITB Berlin 2023 is online! Our tip: Familiarise yourself with the exhibition grounds and your possible walking routes in advance and use the navigation support via the ITB app on-site.
| The new Hub27 will be used as an exhibitor hall for the first time in 2023, while the halls around the Radio Tower will continue to be renovated. The ITB Buyers Circle will be located in Hall 7.2a. You should also familiarise yourself in advance with the new ITB Business Satelittes in Halls 6.2b, 20 and in Hub27.

The ITB Berlin Convention stages also have new locations in Halls 3.1b, 6.1, 7.1a and 7.1b. The new ITB Lighthouse Stage can be found in Hall 4.1, the new hybrid studio in Hall 5.3. Our fairground shuttles will take you comfortably from A to B.
