IMF sketches a brighter view of global economy

The agency upgraded its growth forecast and now expects lower inflation

From the article: The International Monetary Fund has upgraded its outlook for the world economy this year, envisioning resilient growth led by the United States and a slower pace of inflation.

In its latest outlook, the 190-country lending agency said Tuesday that it now expects the global economy to grow 3.1% this year, unchanged from 2023 but better than the 2.9% it had predicted for 2024 in its previous estimate in October.

From the article: Only 20% of finfluencer content containing investment recommendations has disclosures of any kind, a study by New York-based CFA Institute finds.

The institute issued policy recommendations Thursday regarding regulating finfluencers - financial influencers who share investment tips and strategies on social media - after also finding the disclosure rate for content including an affiliate link was 27% and for promotional content was 53%.
