| Gee I have had a double injection of botanic gardens this week! Last Friday, I was at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne where we were filming the links for an upcoming episode of Gardening Australia. As I have probably explained to you before, the links are all those joining segments within the show where I come along in between stories and introduce what’s coming up and sometimes back introduce something that we’ve been speaking about. It’s also where I open and close the show and throw to things like regular segments such as Jobs for the Weekend and My Garden Path. | | |

Alan Titchmarsh and the Love Your Garden team look to the natural world for inspiration this week and create a Wild and Woolly garden that’s perfect for a deserving young family in Middleborough. Despite having physical challenges of her own, young mum Phillipa supports other disabled families and individuals in the Middlesbrough area – going above and beyond to make sure they have all the help they need. Featuring a mini-dinosaur Kingdom play area, a natural looking water feature and a vertical grow your own veg plot, the team succeed in transforming the family’s modest suburban plot into a slice of the great outdoors with something for each of them. Tonight, 10:50pm | Rpt Sunday, 1:30pm ABC TV and iview | |
