Hey there!
After a San Francisco airport drop-off last week, I found myself driving home on CA-280, a road some have nicknamed the most beautiful freeway in the world!
If you haven't driven it, let me paint you a picture.
There are no billboards or commercial properties. Instead, all you can see from this multi-lane thoroughfare are trees, grass, birds, and sometimes, horses, cows, and deer. Sparkling water meanders along one stretch of the road, providing a sanctuary for birds that crisscross the road. Behind the water are steep hills, often draped in fog.

Although it’s a freeway, it's surprisingly peaceful and serene, feeling more like a scenic journey through nature than a bustling route from home to airport.
As I drove, my thoughts wandered, and in seconds, my mind was free to explore new ideas and creative possibilities.
This got me thinking about how important it is to remove ourselves from the everyday distractions that vie for our attention. In today's world, we're bombarded with notifications, ads, endless to-do lists, texts, or even, ahem, emails. 😉
To tap into our creative potential, it's so important to make time, even if it's just a little, to step back and clear our heads.
How often do we give ourselves time to reset, think, and dream?
How can you make a little space to find your proverbial scenic highway?
This week, see if you can find some time to disconnect from your daily distractions and immerse yourself in a calming environment. Whether it's a walk in the park, sitting in a quiet corner of a garden, meditating in a candle-lit room, or journaling outdoors before others wake up...
allow yourself mental space to breathe, think, and create.
Aim to embrace your own version of tranquility, even if it’s a small dose, and let your thoughts flow freely.
You might be surprised at the artistic ideas that emerge when you give yourself permission to just be present. If you try this, drop me a line, I'd love to hear how your creative journey is going.
Happy creating!
