This week’s streaming column rounds up some films that take place in the afterlife. Even though October is usually for horror films, death doesn’t always have to be so spooky! This is an Address, Sasha Wortzel’s meditative film on displacement, erasure, and queer communities along the Hudson River piers, acts as a tribute to Sylvia Rivera and NYC’s old Meatpacking District.To brighten what has already been a foreboding fall, check out these three wacky French dramedies, each of which boast their own individual je ne sais quoi. During quarantine, the Studio Ghibli Museum has begun posting a series of charming videos of the premises on YouTube. I highly recommend checking some of them out.And lastly, this week’s calming video features fish tank maintenance and feeding shrimp some squash. Lotta great sounds in this one:
