Emergency Funding Announced for Scottish Culture and Heritage    

Culture and heritage sectors are to benefit from a £59 million funding package to protect jobs and help the industry weather the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. 

A new £15 million Culture Organisations and Venues Recovery Fund will provide critical support to a range of businesses such as art galleries, studio facilities, comedy venues, large music venues, commercial theatres, orchestras, dance companies and nightclubs.

Family-Owned Artisan Bakery Thrives in Burntisland

Family-owned artisan bakery, Sunrise Bakehouse fits nicely into Burntisland and complements the range of other independent local businesses, all of which are thriving. 
 
Since opening two days a week in June, Sunrise Bakehouse has sold out of its bread each day, which equates to over 150 loafs each day. Its pastries and buns are also proving popular!

Support Fund for Childcare Providers 

Applications are now open for funding to help childcare providers meet the extra costs of complying with public health guidance.

The Transitional Support Fund, part of £11.2 million support announced for the childcare sector, will help pay for things like increased cleaning, new or additional equipment, better outdoor spaces or adaptations to buildings.

Funding For Scotland's Green Recovery

Nearly £1.6 billion to directly support up to 5,000 jobs and tackle fuel poverty is at the heart of plans to drive Scotland’s green recovery and end our contribution to climate change.

Part of an enhanced Green New Deal, the investment will transform heat and energy efficiency of buildings and rapidly accelerate the decarbonisation of an area which makes up a quarter of Scotland’s greenhouse gas emissions.
