Ferrie: 2024 Has Been A Tough Year for Soil Erosion

The farm bill finally saw some movement in Washington in May, but the Ag Economists' Monthly Monitor found most economists don’t think it will be passed this year, with some even saying it could be as late as 2026.

According to USDA's latest crop progress report, 91% of corn acres and 78% of soybean acres have been planted. This is the first week the report notes corn condition with 53% good and 30% fair.
