Yang's supporters have a faith in money that could upend campaign fundraising as we know it.

Cash has mostly been a boogeyman of American politics, particularly since the 2010 Citizens United Supreme Court ruling ushered in an era of virtually unlimited spending by shady actors. Yet where others have focused dollars on advertising more traditionally, the Yang Gang is also giving out cash to support individual campaigners.

That’s potentially controversial. Just as conservatives have sought creative ways to skirt campaign finance laws, one could argue the Yang Gang’s creative crowdsourcing tactics are in-kind donations of their own — contributions aiding the campaign without having to be disclosed publicly.

Angela Ochu-Baiye is busting myths about blood donation in Nigeria on the radio and developing a mobile platform to match donors to patients.

Nigeria’s blood shortage nearly cost Angela Ochu-Baiye her life. Diagnosed with a ruptured ovarian cyst and an ectopic pregnancy in 2008, she was scheduled for an emergency surgery. She urgently needed a blood transfusion, but her hospital had just one unit — and it had expired. She couldn’t find a donor match within close proximity. For six days, she managed to survive as the doctors managed her condition.

“Many women were not fortunate like me, but I believe God spared me so I could champion a great cause to ensure other women wouldn’t lose their lives from an unavailability of blood in emergency situations,” she says.

Despite what you might read in the media, overdose caused by incidental exposure to fentanyl is not a thing.

The reporting from the media is breathless and dramatic. A Connecticut police officer brushes a powder off his uniform and feels his “body shutting down” and is saved by a dose of naloxone (aka Narcan). A police officer in Texas finds a flyer on the windshield of her car that says that it was contaminated with fentanyl. Feeling lightheaded, she drives herself to the ER for a “life-saving” dose of Narcan. A recent article from OZY asking “Is Weaponized Fentanyl the Next Terror Threat?” presents a Tom Clancy-esque scenario of a pen full of fentanyl bringing down an entire commercial airplane.

Spoiler alert: It can’t, and this scenario is scientifically laughable.
