🌡️ Tuesday will be cooler, especially across southern Minnesota. We’ll also see somewhat less humid air, though dew points will still be in the sticky low 60s across southern Minnesota.
🌧️ There will still be some lingering instability with a few showers in far southern Minnesota and isolated, pop-up showers possible in central and northern Minnesota Tuesday afternoon.
Vance Boelter had been planning attacks for “some time” and went to the homes of four DFL politicians Saturday intending to kill them, the acting U.S. attorney for Minnesota said Monday. “It’s no exaggeration to say this is the stuff of nightmares.”
Gov. Tim Walz called Rep. Melissa Hortman, who was fatally shot Saturday, his “closest ally” and praised her bipartisanship as a model for a divided country. Walz told MPR News he has asked his staff to prepare for the possibility of Hortman and her husband to lie in state at the Capitol.
The forest is already starting to regenerate in the area scorched by the Camp House Fire. But nearby lakes and streams could suffer for years.
