As they navigate the uncertainty at the start of the second Trump administration, young adults who were brought to the US as undocumented children could find a path forward via higher education and a stable job.

 

TeenSHARP, an organization that helps students from families with lower incomes or marginalized backgrounds get into — and graduate from — top-tier universities, works with several students who don’t have citizenship. The goal? Building a future with more stability. 

 

We spoke with two of these young adults about how they're forging ahead.

 

“Entrepreneurship is one way that I can work legally,” one undocumented TeenSHARP grad told reporter Holly Quinn. “I could do contract jobs or run my own business.”
