FCSL Players of the Week, Banana Ball, and All-Star Voting!

The Week Four Players of the week awards go to player Isaac Nunez (Winter Park/Southeastern) and pitcher Nick Vieira (Leesburg/UCF). Read about their award worthy weeks below.

Last week, the Florida League took their top prospects to Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia for a chance to show off their skills and compete in the NACSB Prospect Games. The FCSL had a successful trip, going 2-0 with wins against the Valley League and Southern League. The Florida League is now 10-3-3 all time in the NACSB Prospect Games.

Florida League vs. Savannah Bananas

This weekend, the Florida League will be taking a select team up to Savannah, Georgia to play the Savannah Bananas. These two games will be played in Banana Ball style, a unique set of rules designed to put on a show for fans. Some rules include, no walks, no bunting, batters can steal first, and if a fan catches a fly ball, it counts as an out. Unfortunately, these two games are sold out, but we will post viewing information closer to the event.

All-Star Voting is open

The 2023 Florida League All-Star Game will be on Thursday, July 13th at Sanford Memorial Stadium. This is your chance to vote for your favorite players into the mid-season classic. The East team will consist of players from DeLand, Sanford, and Orlando. While the West team consists of players from Leesburg, Winter Garden, and Winter Park. Vote now!
