Out of their gourd: Giant pumpkins take the stage in Lehi If you’re looking for a great place to kick off the Halloween season, you might not expect Lehi, Utah to top the list. Believe it or not, Lehi has plenty to offer in terms of fall fun thanks to the city’s annual pumpkin weigh-off. Every year, the contest sees some of the world’s largest pumpkins go head-to-head for a shot at the title. And this year, the prize pumpkin came in at a massive 1,825 pounds. It’s the largest pumpkin ever grown outside of a greenhouse, and the second-biggest pumpkin ever grown in Utah. We also bet it’ll make one heck of a pie. But pumpkins aren’t just for eating.
