DeepSeek is under investigation.

The White House and FBI are trying to determine how the Chinese startup secured powerful AI chips from Nvidia.

Here’s what happened…

DeepSeek released a new AI model similar to ChatGPT.

The company claimed that it spent just $5.6 million – versus billions being spent by Microsoft, Google, Meta and OpenAI.

However, DeepSeek failed to mention that they used illegally obtained Nvidia chips.

The fastest Nvidia AI chips cannot LEGALLY be sold in China.

So, how did DeepSeek get their hands on them?

DeepSeek bought Nvidia chips through a Singapore company. And those chips were then shipped to China.

This chart shows that Nvidia sales in Singapore jumped from $1 billion to nearly $8 billion per quarter – a 740% increase!

You can see that orders started ramping up right when DeepSeek was founded.

There are of course other companies in Singapore buying Nvidia chips.

However, AI experts estimate that DeepSeek used +50,000 Nvidia AI chips to train its model. The cost of those servers would be around $1.3 billion – NOT the $5.6 million claimed by DeepSeek.

Plus, DeepSeek stole intellectual property from OpenAI.

This is right out of the Chinese playbook…

Steal from American companies. Break international trade laws. And pretend to be a leader.
