Unspeakable tragedy: New Orleans awoke Wednesday to horrific news of a fire that killed three children, allegedly set by their father after a chilling call he made to their mother, who was at work. Missy Wilkinson has this report from America Street in New Orleans East, where neighbors are left trying to make sense of an incomprehensible tragedy. DA carjacking case spawns questions: More details have emerged following the arrest made in connection with the of carjacking New Orleans District Attorney Jason Williams and his mother earlier this week. But those details raise questions the NOPD has yet to answer, particularly, why the suspect remained free despite a slew of arrest warrants. Jillian Kramer has the story. A cure for what ails rural parishes? Across central Louisiana, small towns are suffering. Their populations have dwindled as people have moved away, their main streets lined by shuttered shops.
