| | Have been doing 2020 projections for the coming year, and it's hard to be positive with these prices and current crop conditions going into spring. We had lots of unharvested crops here and, as a matter fact, all over the state this past year. We froze up very wet. I did projection based on current market prices and recent crop yields have grown past several years and at best shows small cash profit--just enough to service debt with small decrease in working capital. I then did projection based on preventive planting and, if they are correct, we would have Whip disaster with that 2020 year also to supplement my preventive planting. I would show more than double cash profit over growing a crop and it could even be more than that. Read More |
