Analytics drives speed

As principal strategy engineer for the Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 team, Hannah Schmitz and her teammates run billions of simulations to assess the probability of winning under different scenarios that use various tactics, all to give drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez the best chance to stand on the podium.

Startups help war victims

Startups, including Circulor, DoxyChain, aiconix, and Brime, are helping Ukraine by providing support for displaced people and nonprofit organizations, as well as assisting both the Ukrainian and Russian people to evade censorship, says Oracle for Startups head Jason Williamson, who has a personal connection to the region.

Virtual reality, real change

Visitors to the FUTURE of Water exhibit at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC use virtual reality to simulate flying over Las Vegas, traveling down into a storm drain, and rescuing a turtle wrapped in plastic. It’s all done to drive home the importance of small activities in improving our climate future.
