| Dear Madam or Sir, The new reforms in the Swiss Criminal law on bribery entered into force on 1 July 2016. The revised rules and new provisions now make private sector bribery a criminal offence. According to the reform, private corruption could be punished by a maximum three-year jail sentence for the offender and corporate entity can be held liable with fines up to CHF 5 Mio.
