Free short film looks at colleges’ impact on agricultural communities |
| | | | | | | Nicholas Victorian, from 4Vics Farms LLC, in New Roads, La., soon started his career in sustainable farming after taking free agriculture workshops at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge. For Victorian and many others throughout rural areas in Louisiana, having access to the knowledge and resources on agricultural knowledge has been key in creating—and, many times, upholding—a tradition of farming for their families. In this short film, ‘The Science and the Beauty’: A Farm-to-Table Story’, we hear from Louisianians on the kinds of farming knowledge and practices that have been crucial to driving their personal objectives and community development. |
