This is a cheap, fun craft that makes a cute gift for little ones 4+. When I was little, my elementary school class made these for Christmas. I hardly remember a thing from elementary school, but this must have been super special because the happy memory stuck!

I bake a lot and freeze my baked goods in zippered freezer bags. I rinse them out and reuse them. To make sure they dry completely and quickly, I turn them inside out and use a magnet and hang it upside down on my refrigerator. I place the magnet on the inside of the bag to keep it open. You could use any magnetic surface.

This is one of my absolute favourite ways to use avocado. Using soy sauce instead of salt really gives depth to the savoury flavours, while the tarragon really punches through the creaminess and livens things up. This is originally my mother's longtime recipe, and the way she got me hooked on the heart-healthy avocado when I was very young. Thanks Mama!

Christmas means a lot of different things to different people. One Christmas, my husband and I were really down on our luck, but I am a firm believer in things happen for a reason. I also believe that Christmas isn't about charge cards and buying and material things.
