NATIONAL: End-to-end enterprise community event engine Bevy has announced its acquisition of Eventtus, an event management software company based in Cairo, Egypt. The partnership adds more than 20 engineers to the team including Eventtus founders Mai Medhat and Nihal Fares. Bevy's event technology will be extended through a new mobile in-person conference app, as well as several engagement tools for in-person attendees. CHICAGO: Chef, entrepreneur and humanitarian Jos Andrs opens the latest location of Jaleo today in the River North neighborhood. The menu offers authentic Spanish cuisine including a full tapas bar and tableside paella presentations, and the 240-seat venue features bold colors and an expanded patio. LAS VEGAS: The Backstreet Boys are returning to Las Vegas this holiday season with "A Very Backstreet Christmas Party." There will be 12 shows running from November to December at the Zappos Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. This is the band's first holiday show, and performances will feature a mix of their top hits and holiday favorites. Tickets go on sale July 16. NEW YORK: Margaritaville Resort Times Square is now open. The 32-story hotel has 234 guest rooms, five restaurants and bars, a heated year-round outdoor pool and a street-level merchandise store. One highlight? The Margaritaville restaurant features New York's largest Tiki bar, in addition to a 32-foot replica of the Statue of Liberty. There’s also a variety of flexible event spaces accommodating as many as 1,000 people.
