Wild Willie
Willie Nelson never ceases to amaze me.
Just last week, I learned that he smoked pot on the roof of the White House with one of Jimmy Carter's sons, and now he's coming clean about his cheating heart.
In his new book “Me and Sister Bobbie,” the 87-year-old country music legend cops to getting caught stepping out on his second wife, Shirley Collie — all thanks to the US Postal Service.
Here's how it went down: Nelson received a hospital bill that he tried to play off as "no big deal" until Collie discovered the charges were for "the birth of a baby girl, Paula Carlene, born to a Mrs. Connie Nelson.” Caught red-handed, Nelson admits he couldn't lie. "Had to get the words out of my mouth. ‘Connie’s my girlfriend and Paula’s our daughter.’”
He later married Connie in 1971, but soon he was on the road again. "My wandering ways were too much for any woman to put up with," he confessed.
It wasn't until the mid-'80s that he tried his hand at marriage again with Annie Marie D’Angelo. Thirty-four years later, they're still going strong.
Offset and Cardi B All this is to say, love and fame don't always mix.
Just look at Cardi B and Offset, who are headed for Splitsville after the hitmaker filed for divorce Tuesday. Some thought the Bronx rapper was fed up after rumors swirled that Offset is expecting a baby with another woman, but a source told Page Six that's "super false."
A Cardi B breakup album? Adele must be shaking in her Jamaican flag print bikini. Next up? Ray J and Princess Love, who seem to be on an emotional roller coaster that I would very much like to get off!
Love first filed for divorce from Ray in May, but requested it be dismissed in July in an attempt to work things out. On Monday, it was Ray's turn to file for divorce from Love.
Ray J and Princess Love It's got me thinking, if someone named Love can't figure it out, what hope is there for any of us? But a source put it simply to Page Six, telling us, "They tried. They love each other, they love their kids, but they just don’t want to be married to each other."
And then there's celebrity chef Cat Cora, whose divorce sounds so gnarly, she should be filming anti-marriage PSAs.
Cat claims her ex-wife Jennifer has made her life "a nightmare that I can’t wake up from."
“Her whole goal in life is for me to fail, be destroyed, not have a relationship with the kids, for everyone to know I am a BAD person….. she is desperately trying to make me seem like a bad person, bad mother, anything to hurt me," the "Iron Chef" personality claimed in court papers.
Sounds like Cat is very much ready to get out of the kitchen.
Here's hoping all these couples can be amicable one day, or opt for the Charlie Sheen route and offer their support 14 years after they've split.
Drinking of you fondly,
