Evacuees from Kiryat Shmona

Recently, we met a family who moved from Petach Tikva to Kiryat Shmona four years ago. They cherished their beautiful, spacious home in the north and enjoyed the affordable living in a flourishing community. Since October 7th, however, they have been staying in a hotel in Eilat. They are among the nearly 100,000 evacuees spread across 400 hotels around Israel.

For evacuated families, there is no normal schooling, and children are paying a high price for being away from home. The prolonged stay in hotels has led to increased alcohol consumption and cigarette smoking among minors, and most are not receiving proper education due to the current situation. The economic toll is also enormous.

At Feed Israel, we are dedicated to supporting people like this family. We provide essential supplies, food, and mental health support to help them cope with these challenging times.
