Europort 2017 - latest updates

One of the highlights of Europort 2017 will be a series of four Masterclasses, one on each of the event days, allowing leading maritime and offshore professionals and experts to get together and share their knowledge and experiences. For each Masterclass, a plenary session with four invited speakers will be followed by opportunities to ask questions of a panel of experts and to network afterwards.

Details of a series of conferences and workshops taking place within Europort are now being firmed up. The CEDA Dredging Days Conference will take place on 9-10 November 2017 at Rotterdam Ahoy, addressing a theme of sustainable dredging, while the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) is organising a conference on Power and Propulsion Alternatives for Ships on November 8th. This will investigate and evaluate some of the of latest developments in fuel technology.

This year the importance of Europort to the inland shipping sector is underlined by the decision of the industry association Royal BLN-Schuttevaer to hold its annual conference during the leading maritime exhibition.

The one day Conference, which will attract leading figures active in the inland waterway business, will take place on Friday November 10th. The timing of the event during Europort is intended to open up the Conference, which will highlight the added value proposition of inland navigation and the opportunities that exist within this sector, to the widest possible audience.
