It’s all about the active

We have an interview with MJ Lytle of Janus Henderson Tabula this week on the firm’s asset growth since takeover and since launching a range of active ETFs including CLOs and MBS strategies, sectors that Janus Henderson dominates in the US. The European firm’s managed and distributed assets have shot up from USD660 million to USD2.6 billion.

Invesco data published this week showed that investors have recovered in confidence over May and the firm writes that despite the old adage “Sell in May and go away,” May’s European ETF flows told a very different story. Invesco writes that net new assets of nearly USD29 billion marked one of the strongest months on record and active ETF strategies continue to build momentum, with USD2.3 billion of net new assets.

We have been pretty active over here as well this week bringing you our latest review of global digital assets, a collaboration between Trackinsight and Coindesk, with Joshua de Vos, Research Lead of Coindesk, writing that May marked a continuation of strong inflows into digital asset investment products, with USD7.33 billion entering the market, according to TrackInsight data.
