| | An ETF cornucopia A thoroughly good mix of stories this week but the headline news has to be bitcoin (again, sigh) which has sailed off through the USD100,000 price. The crypto world is very smiley and all thoughts of a crypto winter are long gone. Houlihan Lokey reports that as of October, the global digital assets market has grown by 47 per cent year-to-date, reaching USD2.5 trillion. Bitcoin (BTC) trading volumes have increased by 68 per cent compared to last year, despite normalisation in activity, and the firm notes that ETF inflows are driving bitcoin returns as BTC ETFs have attracted USD17.3 billion in net inflows since January. But let’s turn our attention to another highly fashionable ETF product, the structured outcome ETF. This week’s podcast, brought to you in partnership with TrussEdge, features MerQube’s Vinit Srivastava and Calamos Investments’ Matt Kaufman discussing how the defined outcome, options strategy, structured outcome (call it what you will) ETF works and why it is proving to be so popular. Listen now by following this link. Our Paris correspondent Romain Thomas talked to Benoit Sorel of Amundi ETF this week about the drivers behind their recent partnership with Jane Street. Sorel says: "By collaborating with Jane Street, Amundi ETF seeks to improve the trading efficiency and accessibility of over 150 ETF listings, ensuring tighter bid-ask spreads and better execution for investors." ETF Express’s sister title Institutional Asset Manager celebrated this year’s Service Provider awards this week.
