Estee Lauder sued by EEOC over parental leave discrepancies Cosmetics company Estee Lauder has been sued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission because the company's parental leave policy gives men less time off than women. The lawsuit says the company allows new mothers to take six weeks of paid "child-bonding" parental leave in addition to the paid leave they receive for childbirth recovery, while new fathers receive only two weeks and have less flexible arrangements than new mothers do upon returning to work.
