Tickets are now on sale for the 2016 South Australian Tourism Awards Gala Ceremony to be held on Friday 4 November at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Registration is open for the 2016 Australian Regional Tourism Convention taking place in Roma, Outback Queensland from 25-27 October. The NSW Government has signed a new three-year agreement with Singapore Airlines set to further boost tourism across NSW. New figures show the 2015-16 cruise ship season injected $26.9 million into South Australia's visitor economy – up $10.8 million from the previous year. Tourism and Events Queensland has unveiled a new and improved image library, www.visuals.queensland.com. Destination NSW has a number of upcoming Export Ready 101 workshops and Inbound Strategy workshops for tourism operators interested in attracting overseas visitors who are travelling to NSW. Destination NSW has won 12 accolades at the 2016 International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) Pinnacle Awards for its marketing and promotion of Vivid Sydney. Registration is open for the 2016 TTF Leadership Summit to be held on Wednesday 23 November in Canberra. Organisers of events that bring visitors to regional Western Australia in 2017-18 are invited to apply for sponsorship through the Western Australian Government’s Regional Events Scheme. The SATC will be hosting Understanding China workshops in Adelaide and regional locations to assist business owners in better understanding the realties and requirements of the China market. The Norther Territory Minister for Tourism and Culture has called for Expressions of Interest to serve on the Tourism NT Board, with the appointment of current Commissioners concluding on 15 November. Tourism NT has published a progress summary on its 2015-16 Tourism Vision 2020 to grow the visitor economy in the Northern Territory to $2.2 billion by 2020. Hong Kong Airlines will fly two additional services into the Gold Coast and Cairns from December 2016 delivering an extra $70 million in overnight visitor expenditure to Queensland. Registration is open for the Restaurant & Catering Industry Association's Future Forum to be held on Tuesday 25 October in Sydney. NSW regional event organisers are invited to apply for new one-off annual grants of up to $20,000 as part of the NSW Regional Flagship Events Program. | ||
