No images? Click here Dear friend, As Christians, we have a responsibility to engage in the public square. Civic engagement is a unique opportunity to serve the common good and point our neighbors to a greater kingdom to come, but our current environment can make this difficult. Today, I'm excited to tell you about the Courage and Civility Church Toolkit, a brand-new free resource from the ERLC, written by Daryl Crouch, Senior Pastor of Green Hill Church. I've talked to many pastors and church leaders across the country who are facing difficult questions this fall. Questions like: What responsibilities do we have to engage in this current moment? How should we think about this chaotic, polarizing season? And how can we advocate for important issues without hindering our gospel witness? The Courage and Civility Church Toolkit features sermon outlines and four small group guided discussions to help Christians engage in the public square in a way that fears God, honors those in authority, loves all of our neighbors, and invites everyone to trust Jesus. This resource doesn't tell people how to vote, but it does tell them how Christians should think through the issues of our day. It gives pastors and church leaders a helpful path to walk with their congregations about the things that truly matter and shows them how to navigate this moment of division. I hope this resource will be helpful to you and your church. As always, your Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission is here to serve you. We are praying for you and your church. Sincerely, ![]() |
