Billed as an “Enhanced Aerial Firefighter,” the Viking CL-415EAF modernizes the CL-215 amphibious aircraft with turbine engines, greater fire-retardant capacity and Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics. Etihad Engineering’s lavatory decontamination chamber concept uses a hydrogen peroxide fog unit to disinfect on-board crew members on long-haul flights. This technology can be installed under the lavatory sink and works in two minutes, allowing the lavatory to stay operational throughout the flight.
