Dear Employer

Do you understand the power you have to lower personal cancer risk and risk for non-communicable diseases?

Do you know that you can prevent needless pain and suffering, through enabling early detection of cancer?

Do you realise that by being pro-active about your employees’ health, you can save money and increase productivity in the workplace?

This Corporate Wellness Week (4 to 8 July 2022) and throughout the year we invite you to look after your own, by taking the time to invite CANSA to your workplace to offer cancer screening and education around recognising the symptoms of cancer and lowering personal cancer risk. Screening also helps identify risk for non-communicable diseases such as heart disease and diabetes.

FACT: Cancer has increased and is being diagnosed more frequently* and it’s important to do annual screening to enable early detection.

FACT: Employees often neglect to do screening as they feel they are too busy. By bringing cancer screening to the workplace, employers can help maintain employee health and productivity levels.

Employees should not underestimate their significant role in helping the public to lower their cancer risk and detect cancer early through allowing cancer screening in the workplace. It’s about prioritising the health and well-being of the employee.

We offer a comprehensive service with CANSA’s Lifestyle Risk Assessment producing a company risk profile after each employee completes the assessment. In this way, employers can help ensure employees are aware of the changes they can make to lower their personal risk of cancer and risk of other non-communicable diseases like heart disease and diabetes.

We screen for the following:

  • blood glucose test;
  • blood pressure test;
  • Clinical Breast Examinations (to detect breast lumps);
  • Pap Smears (liquid based cervical cancer screening test for early diagnosis);
  • Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) tests (a blood test to assist with detecting prostate abnormalities);
  • FotoFinder examinations (mole mapping dermoscope device to examine moles and spots on skin)
  • Faecal occult home testing kit (to help indicate a growth / inflammation / bleeding in digestive system, possibly colorectal cancer).

Further services include health talks, exhibitions, and presentations.

It’s time for you to invest in the well-being of your staff, so contact us today and make a booking for a health risk assessment and screening. Make a booking on the CANSA Website or email [email protected]
