The cake is straightforward and easy to make. It's dense, moist and fudgy. There is a layer of fudge frosting on top of all three layers. The pecans hold the layers in place and space the layers so that the fudge doesn't squish out.
You can use our cake mix for the cake or make it from scratch. The light, fluffy boxed cake mixes from the store won't work. Look for a cream cake mix or maybe a pound cake. You can use our frostings or make your own. |
