Nonprofit challenges California landlords on rental bias Investigative nonprofit, the Housing Rights Initiative. has accused over 200 California landlords and real estate agents of discriminating against Section 8 voucher holders, filing complaints with the state's Civil Rights Department. The nonprofit's findings show a 70% refusal rate in Los Angeles, prompting calls for better enforcement and additional funding to uphold the law and ensure fair housing opportunities for all voucher holders. Fed officials discuss balancing competing priorities In separate appearances, Federal Reserve Governor Adriana Kugler and Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta President Raphael Bostic discussed the competing risks that the central bank is attempting to manage as it eases monetary policy.
