Japan Consumer Confidence Nov. 2016: 40.9 Consumer confidence has failed to rise since Abenomics was introduced in 2013. The consumer confidence index fell sharply to 40.9 in November, down from 42.3 the month prior. Sentiment declined across most major categories, with concerns about employment falling the most. Spain Industrial Production Oct. 2016: 0.5% Spain's industrial production growth slowed in seasonally and calendar-adjusted annual terms to 0.5% y/y in October from 0.6% in the previous month as the output in the capital and durable consumer goods sectors slipped into negative territory. Euro Zone Retail Sales Oct. 2016: 1.1% Retail sales in the euro zone surprised on the upside and gained 1.1% in October, more than reversing the downwardly revised 0.4% drop in the previous month.
