Restriction proposal on chromium (VI) to cover more substances

The European Commission has requested ECHA to broaden the scope of the REACH restriction proposal to cover at least 12 chromium (VI) substances.

Given the wider scope, the Agency will submit the restriction proposal by 11 April 2025, instead of the originally planned date of 4 October 2024.

We will organise a webinar on 6 June 2024 at 11:00 Helsinki time to explain what data we are looking for in the second call for evidence that will be launched in June.

Best practice available for transitioning SPC into IUCLID

We have published a document clarifying some of the most frequent issues our users face when moving their summaries of biocidal product characteristics (SPCs) from the old SPC Editor to IUCLID.

Bookmark the page and refer to the document whenever you encounter issues with the preparation or amendment of SPCs in IUCLID. We will regularly update the document with new questions and answers.

List of notifications updated

We have updated the list of substance and product-type combinations for which a compliant notification for inclusion in the Review Programme has been made.

The list also includes the names of the notifying companies to help you collaborate when submitting an application for approval of the active substance and to help avoid unnecessary testing on animals.
