European Central Bank: Euro area quarterly balance of payments and international investment position: fourth quarter of 2024

In 2024, the euro area posted a €426 billion current account surplus (2.8% of GDP) and €1.66 trillion in net investment assets (10.9% of GDP), with key surpluses vis-à-vis the UK and Switzerland and a deficit with China. Read more
