EAT 2022: Back in the fields in Romania!

This particular year, Romania is attracting the attention of grain operators from around the world.

With the uncertainties of future Ukrainian and Russian exports, global demand is looking for other origins. Romania is becoming increasingly important in the Black Sea region.

During the week of 11-15 April, European Agritel Tour teams are heading to the country to assess winter wheat conditions in order to produce the second estimate of Romanian wheat production for 2022. As a result of this crop tour, the detailed report will be released.

Just like every year, we will also prepare reports with the production forecasts for Ukraine and Russia.

Ukrainian farmers are not losing faith and are doing their best to carry out the field work. Making the estimates under the current conditions has become complex, but we will still do this exercise by gathering as much information as possible. We will also present hypotheses on future spring crop production.

The Russian market is becoming increasingly opaque, but its influence on world trade is not getting any smaller. Thanks to our extensive network in the country, we are always up to date with the latest information.
