Hi [NAME] While we’ve all been practicing physical distancing for the past couple of weeks, it’s been heart-warming to see that the Clean Eating community has come together virtually to support each other like never before. For our part, we’re doing our best to get as much content into your hands as possible that will help guide you through the next few weeks at home cooking up a marathon of meals. To get you started, we just released a 33-page ebook, Healthier at Home, with recipes and meal plans that call on very limited ingredients and plenty of pantry staples, as well as tips for building immunity and reducing anxiety. Consider it your starter kit to set you up for weeks of healthy eating with less stress. We also know that you want to hear directly from the experts on what you can do to support your health right now. Check out our social channels and website for videos from CE contributors Dr. Jonny Bowden and Dietitian Erin MacDonald that are chock-full of easy, actionable steps everyone can do to bolster immunity now. And, because you might be cooking on your own, we still want you to feel like we’re right there with you. The CE staffers are inviting you into our kitchens – yes, often without makeup and sometimes in our sweats – to show you what we’re cooking up as well as fun flexible recipes for using up pantry staples. Keep an eye on our social channels for more of these insider videos or see our story highlights for previous ones. We’re also calling on some of our favorite recipe developers to bring you regular IG lives – extended cooking segments on stress-free suppers, baking with kids and more – so be sure to watch out for those and mark your calendars! We’re also hard at work on our May/June issue, on sale and available online starting May 5. In this health-focused issue, we’re doing a deep dive into what an anti-inflammatory program looks like both for bolstering immunity and weight management. Because, as our experts tell us, eating a whole-foods anti-inflammatory diet, managing stress and getting enough movement and sleep are probably the best things we can do for our bodies right now. (Plus, we know all too well what it’s like to have gone through two weeks of snacks in two days, so we’ve got you covered in this issue!) While staying close to home may pose different challenges for everyone – lonely for some and overwhelmingly chaotic for others – it’s the best means we have right now to protect our most vulnerable citizens. And if there is anything additional we can do to support you during this challenging time – recipes, advice, tips or anything else – we’re listening, please DM us on social media or email us at [email protected]. And remember, we’re all in this together, and we’ll get through it by leaning on each other (virtually)! Wishing you and yours the best in health, Your Clean Eating Fam |
