Early Voting won the 147th running of the Preakness Stakes on Saturday in Baltimore, crossing the finish line first in the famed Triple Crown race. Epicenter finished second while Creative Minister finished third.

Early Voting, trained by Chad Brown and ridden by Jose Ortiz, was eligible for the Kentucky Derby, but his owners opted to keep him off the Churchills Downs ballot to instead target the Preakness Stakes. Rich Strike instead ran in the Kentucky Derby and overcame 80-1 odds to win the race.
